Peace and Conflict
Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed across Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan to support the Kashmiris\' indigenous freedom struggle, their right to plebiscite, and to condemn Indian aggression and its illegal occupation of the Held Valley. The day is being marked in Pakistan since 1990 to pay tributes to Kashmiri martyrs and highlight the Kashmiris\' plight for their basic right to self-determination, as promised in the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
